Primary Seven

Well, it has been a real struggle, but, we can finally say that we have managed to reach the final week of primary school! We have had a busy week putting on a show to the whole school and our parents but it has been really worth it! Mrs Cowie deserves a medal and absolute bed rest for the summer holidays ready to start again in August! Big thank you to her as we all got to put our own personal touch on to the show.

The last week is Activities week for us and we are going to be having great fun at the cinema, Bowling, Beach Leisure Centre and RGU.

Hope the school does not miss us too much!!

The day has finaly arrived for our visit to Cults Academy. We are so excited (and nervous) that most of us hardly slept last night. We will let you know how we got on and what our favourite bits were on our return.

Well, we have all returned in one piece but we are exhausted! These are just a few pictures that Mrs Park took but we will hopefully be able to post lots more when we edit the footage from the camcorder. Hope you enjoy the short film of photos.

We are all very excited as we are off for an activity weekend in Dalguise! Next week we will upload our photos and let you know all about our weekend!!

Culter gets in the race!!

There’s lots going on at Culter next week to raise money for Sport Relief 2008. Make sure you remember your pennies to take part as it is going to be sooooo much fun!

On Tuesday 18th March, we are having a whole school sports day, where you can pay £1 to take part in loads of exciting activities and maybe even win a prize for your class.

On Thursday the 20th we are having a come dressed as a sports star/hero day which should be hilarious. There will also be a penalty shoot at lunchtime where pupils can pay to try and beat the goalie! You might recognise a few of the goalies!!!

Miss Lints has also created a fantastic quiz for all teachers and pupils in P4-7. All sport related and a mystery prize is to be won!

We have been having great fun this week creating our own shadow puppets! It has been quite tricky to work out how they will move along the projector and show that they are moving naturally. Miss Patterson has had us creating music to accompany the shows so we are looking forward to watching the final results all put together.

We have been looking at Tigers and how their numbers are seriously depleting. We have created a leaflet to warn everybody about the endangered Tigers.

In the Blogroll this week, I have added a link to a brilliant website called lovereading4kids. It has the latest books for all ages. You can download an extract to see if it is something you would like to buy and they have great savings on them if you do. Take a look!

After popular demand we have started to put our latest films we have created on a page on this blog site. We have recently started to create ones using plasticine and cameras. We just love making them but now really understand how long they take just to create a 1 minute film! Hopefully you will see them soon. Hope you like them! The link is on the left hand side.
